Mystery Game Tournament

I asked Strat to extend the deadline and they did.

On thursday, I will start creating the leagues. We will for sure have 7 leagues. If we get a few more signups, 8.

If we don't get the extra guys, the managers listed from 85 on will be alternates. Alternate managers please DO NOT fill the leagues. You will be on standby.

You will be in league 8.

If there are any managers that are still interested in the tourney, please get them to sign up.

so dumb as i may be, since we have some possibly 8 leagues about to do 4 teams each ..... and other tournaments had prizes......can we see if strat will do anything, doesn't have to be WS tix or trips, maybe credits for awards to make participation more fun.

Manager with the worst fielding %
Manager who scored the fewest runs
Manager with the highest era
Manager with the highest whip
Manager who loses the most 1 run games
Manager who loses in xtra innings the most
Manager who loses the most home games
Manager who loses the most away games

2 credits for: (must play all 4 rounds)
Manager with the most home wins
Manager with the most away wins
Manager with the most Division Titles
Manager with the most WS Titles
Manager with the Best Overall Fielding %
Manager with the most overall HR's
Manager who gave up the fewest runs
Manager with the lowest whip
Manager with the overall highest batting average
Manager with the best run dif

And of course something for the overall winner and runner-up

If I have the link to all leagues, I would totally keep track of this stuff!

All leagues' make ups will need to be randomized. Someone can run a randomizer for numbers 1-84 for the first 2 leagues once sign up is complete. No one should be able to pick to avoid or be with certain managers. Within each league the divisions should also be randomized.

Ya think this will be a problem? ie. Avoiding some leagues because of managers?

I asked Strat about prizes. They told me they would let me know by the end of this week.

If you need a 96th guy, I'll be him.

I never want to be in a league with Hallerose. He wins every league he's in. Same goes for Franky and a bunch of others and some of the managers that always end up with my draft list. Except I want to be in the final league with them.

Seriously though, I do think it should be random. I think someone, LMBombers?, did that for Chess last time around but I'm not sure.

I asked about prizes when I 1st contacted Strato about the banner and there was no response. Online support may not have passed that part on.

I also hope that everyone signing up realizes that they'll be playing four mystery teams at once when we start the 80s and 90s.

The last tournament we had, TSN created a master standings sheet with stats and point totals for everyone in the tournament.

Hopefully we can get the same thing from Strato.

Been thinking about randomizing all leagues/divisions since it was brought up.
