Mystery Game Tournament

I don't want to exclude anyone who really wants to play, but my guess (based on past experiences) is out of 100+ signed up there will probably be 5-10 who drop before the 1st league for whatever reason. We may want to say there are 8 leagues with the first 96 listed, and then we will probably need the next 5-10 to fill in for those who don't show up. If we get to 108 and plan on 9 leagues what happens when 5-10 don't show up [unless we get to maybe 115 on the list].

It usually works out like that hallerose.

I never thought we would have made it this far though.

Right now, we've got 8 leagues with 7 alternates. I hope everybody understands exactly what hallerose is talking about.

In a perfect world, we get 7 more managers, and we have 9 leagues. Then when I randomize the leagues/divisions, EVERYBODY shows up. In my experience as well, this doesn't happen.

So I apologize in advance, if you don't get in.

Visick, once the leagues are populated how long do we have to get in before a replacement is recruited or taken from alternates? Are there going to be firm starting dates for the leagues?

we need to get this show on the road my draft card have changed 10 times haha

You could follow the approach Geoff did for the Players Championship and create one league at a time and let it fill as people are ready, then create the next league. That way you get full leagues rolling and only deal with fillers on the later leagues. It seemed to work well in the PC tourney.

Doing it this way means you wouldn't have to assign people to a league either. It would just fill as people are ready and load.
