Now exactly halfway into the season and on pace for 442 sb's at a 79% success rate. Team is 47-34 .580 win pct but I am in a division where all four of us are playing .568 baseball or better. We are the top 4 teams in the league and there is only one other team in the league with a positive run differential. Never saw this happen in any league I have been in. Someone is going to get screwed come playoff time :(

Sounds like two of the top four teams in your league will get left out of the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if a team from one of the other two divisions wins the championship however.

Its funny that you say that. I just finished with my US Cell team (which was posted earlier in this thread by accident) and I was a 97 win team, far and away the best record and best run differential in the league but got knocked out of the first round by the wildcard team in five games. I started thinking back to my other playoff experiences and I think that my weakest teams were my championship teams and vice versa but I am going to have to make sure that it isn't selective memory.

Update

132 games into the season. on pace for 411 sb at a 75.6% rate 34-18 stealing third, 3-4 stealing home. However, we still have all four teams in the same division with the three best records in the league and my team (fourth in division, fifth best record in league). Five teams have a positive run differential in the entire league (all four in my division and one other)

I had a team swipe 390 bases this seasons set and did win the league title! If I remember correctly I won 4 or 5 walkoff games by stealing home . Good Luck

I see you made some last minute moves--will cost you some SB but good luck--somebody will miss the playoffs with a bunch of wins

I learned a lot from this exercise. My dilemma was that I am in a division with all high HR parks and if I was going to make the playoffs I had to dump some of my W hitters for some N hitters who could also steal bases. I am going to do this again in next year's set but going to choose a different style ballpark to enhance my chances. Since my drop/adds I have gone on a nice little run and have a shot at the playoffs. The problem is that not only will two of the best teams in the league not make the playoffs but the two best teams in the league will meet in the semifinals and one will be elimninated from winning a credit despite building either the best or second best team.

Congrats on getting in the playoffs--The Ike Davis, Tyler Colvin move paid off--(But the Colvin injury stinks for the playoffs)

??? The top 2 teams (best record) will play the other 2 teams. BTW my warriers finished a mere 379 SB's behind you however we're in the playoffs as well after starting 28-48.
