Merry Christmas everyone!

Congrats to AT (and happy birthday ), Corky and Stoney on their great seasons and playoff finishes.

Congrats as well to Semper and Nythawk for great seasons. It looks like Semper could still win the east with a sweep tonight -?!

Enjoyed this season thoroughly. Had some high hopes in the 20 games after the Gordon pickup, but I think some of my roster mistakes cost me - bullpen, and defense at 2b. And hey, I really can't complain!

Congrats - well done guys!

My Christmas gifts are all unwrapped and the goodies didn't include a sweep of the Hawk.

I'm pleased with my team moving out of the East and now in the hunt with the dogs of the Central

Sorry Semper, I was hoping to see you make the playoffs. I figured you were due. I think we got out of the East (not sure I really wanted that) DJ and I finished tied (since he got swept by AT  and I took 2) and we were 12-12 versus each other. I guess we go to run differential? If so, I scored one more run against him than he scored against me. Big M, is that correct?

Intesting only five teams finished above .500.

Good season all, and congrats to the playoff teams!

Joe, the second tie breaker is overall run diff, not head to head run diff.

After the season's finale game, I gave all my players 10,000 bit coins each for a job well done.

Congrats to all the playoff teams!

It is too bad Semper couldnt quite make the playoffs but good that he broke his bad streak. :)

Definitely pleased we made the playoffs in back to back years - looks like I match up well with most of the playoff squads, should be an interesting post-season.

Finished the season the way I started it, on a hot streak, Started 16-5, and finished 14-7. Take those 2 weeks out of the equation and I went 64-56, which I guess is still good enough to compete for a playoff spot? 8-)

Poor durantjerry & Big Alric were in the wrong division, as they had strong records against non-divisional opponents & got clobbered in their division.

I wonder if nythawk wishes Semper had made the playoffs, as he sort of got a raw deal as he faces Corkys powerhouse on the road. Really glad I was hot at the end as I wanted to avoid that fate. However the post-season is a whole new ballgame.

Anyways I guess if the playoff appearance is a Christmas gift then I can ask for a Finals appearance as a birthday gift then? :? 8-)

Thanks for the birthday wishes & for a fun season. :)

Thanks James, I figured if I could get to 1000 my chances would be pretty good. My team sputtered over final 35 games or so, I hope they could get back on track.

I'm kind of bummed at losing Gomes (40 HRs) for first 3 games of postseason but I couldn't rest my injury guys as AT had a shot at getting home field advantage.

Congrats to the other playoff teams. It's interesting to note that all 4 of us are 7-3 in our last 10 games. :)

Joe, BigM is correct....tiebreaker is total run differential, not head to head run differential.

It is? Not sure I've done it that way in the past, but I'm fine with that. I guess that puts us in the East and DJ in the Central then.

As for our squad we were done in by a pathetic performance v LHP (as was much documented) with a .244/.305/.370 slash line v LHP and a 14-26 record () and, to a lesser extent, to our pitching which didn't perform to the amount of $ paid, or their ratings. With our pen you would have expected a decent X-Innings record, but we were -6. Nunez and Viciedo actually finished decently v LHP, but not as good as could, perhaps, be expected.

David Wright had to be our MVP (.324/.397/.543 125 RBI, 27 HR) and one the few players to hit LHP.

Rodney could be termed a disappointment in terms of ERA (2.14), but the whip was about as expected. Jared Hughes surrendered 20 HRs in 141 IP which was some bad luck I think. Really the whole pitching staff was either below what was expected or at it. No one was better than expected and you need to have that to win (See AT's injury rate, Hawk's Pitching or a guy like Ciriaco hitting .412 as examples) Not picking on you guys, just saying to win in the NLD you have to have some surprises.

For us, maybe you can say that Pierre was better than expected, but I'm not sure a .317/364 ave/ob with 45 steals is out-of-line with his expectations.

A Few hitter disappointments too: Pagan (.230), Castro (257 v RHP), and especially Montero being below .200 v LHP. That's a shocker to be honest.

Well, we had a good run in the last two NLDs guess we were due for a some things to go wrong.

Congrats to the PO teams. Good luck and may the best team win. :)

Happy New Year! :D

What happens in the event of a tie for a Division Winner, Wild Card spot, or home-field advantage?
Tiebreakers for a 2-way tie are, in order:
    - Head-to-head record
    - Run differential
    - Coin flip
Tiebreakers for a 3-way tie are, in order:
    - Best record vs. teams within division
    - Run differential
    - Coin flip

The above is from the Strat-o rules page. And having been involved in many ties over the years, the second level is def overall run diff. 8-)
