LA-Z-BOY’S LEAGUE XLVIII FORMAT
Please read as rules have been stream lined even further, clock will be used as follows 6 hours (Rounds 1-2), 3 hours (Rounds 3-15 we have to try to avoid and minimize long delays without a pick because proxies aren't used. It's just not fair to the managers that make their pick on-time or have proxies set if they aren't going to be around. While diamonddope has had its problems lately using diamonddope with the ability to proxy is better than doing the draft on ILC. The diamonddope system is easy to use and if there is a question please ask. We will use the diamonddope site, if I can get everyone registered (if new players join). Should there be any problems, we'll revert back to our old drafting method, here on ILC.
We no longer have a Live Quick Draft (May look at using the SOM draft site once the kinks get worked out)since the larger player pool has made it increasingly more difficult to get everyone together for a Friday Live draft since a good team can be drafted from the remaining players after the draft.
We will use these revised LA-Z-BOY Rules with the draft lasting up to a ten day period (Mon-Wednesday start, one weekend, latest Friday conclusion). The drafting time is being cut with 6 hour clock for rounds 1& 2 ,with a three hour for the remaining rounds, this is to accommodate the varied work schedules we have but allows for the draft to move on after 6 or 3 hours as the draft moves into the later rounds. ( We shouldn't have to wait all day for Mickey O'Neal to be picked) . Guys please remember the draft has its ebbs and flows and sometimes due to work schedules and computer availability there are longer breaks between picks than everyone might like. With the sliding clock proxies will have to be used but should lead to a more predictable number of picks per day and also limit the number of days needed to draft.

League will use the ATG VII Historical Version of SOM Game, Advanced, 100MM CAP, No D/H, Frenzy, and 5/10/20 drop rule. Original LA-Z-BOY formula.
We can start drafting rounds beginning Wednesday 1/15/14 on diamonddope . Our Frenzy Friday will be 1/24/14 depending on our starting day.
We will use the randomizer to determine draft order
Your Availability will be required (if you have not loaded your team) on Friday evening, 1/24/14 for the team loading and Frenzy. (About a 1 to 1.5 Hour Commitment) If you are unable to make this commitment please do not join this league. Additional note team loading will start at the end of the player draft on diamonddope but Frenzy will be Friday 1/24/14 so all can participate. Frenzy can be moved with agreement of the League
League Opening Day will be Monday 1/27/14
League Draft will consist of up to 14 diamonddope player draft rounds and one stadium, again to be determine by flow of the draft. Draft will always end on an even round to be fair to all. No matter what player and stadium draft will be concluded Thursday evening 1/23/14.
Stadiums will be UNIQUE, diamonddope has been updated so we can make stadium pick there on a first come, first served basis after Round 8.
ALL TEAMS will be entered in the league by Friday, 6:00 PM ET, 11/1/13 or 11/8/13, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!, with Frenzy to follow (11:05 PM ET.).
All drafted players are to be put on the BOTTOM OF YOUR DRAFT LIST.
NEW!!!!!!!!Division Assignments will be by Strat's Randomizer option, this will eliminate the problem of having to wait on any one particular team, except of course if it's the 12th team that will close out the League. I know it was nice to know your division opponent when drafting but loading the league has been a slow cumbersome event that can be streamlined using SOM division randomizer.
I know every possible situations is not covered in the rules but any decisions that have to be made will be made as fairly as possible
Lastly everyone is to have fun and may we have another fun filled season of LA-Z-BOY Baseball.
