This is my post on the other thread. Really really sorry, spicki17, but we just had to keep things moving.

i'm here now. was on vacation. not sure why you couldn't just skip my ball park pick or have someone message me via another league. i don't check these forums very often.
spicki17, I'm really sorry that you missed this, but I had made a personal rule, which I expressed on the boards in 2012 (I'll have to check whether I said this on this year's tournament's boards), that I only communicate by PM and on these discussion boards, for the purposes of the PC tournament. (Update - I don't think I said this in this year's tournament, but since I never asked anyone (including yourself) for personal emails, and since I never communicated that way, you may reasonably infer from that, that I won't be communicating that way).
Please note that it is possible (as I myself have done) to have a strat Private Message trigger an email to your real life email account.
This was one of the conditions that I set for myself in taking on the commissioner role. I know myself well enough to know that trying to communicate with tournament members by real life emails would not work for me, on a personal level. I am truly sorry that you missed the PM's and notes on these boards, but those are the rules that I set for myself and for the PC tournament communication.
I had posted on these PC boards several times that the semi-final ballpark selection and check in would commence "January 2 or sooner". We have to get this going so that the entire playoffs can be completed by June, according to the original plan, which has been posted several times, including the January 2 check-in.
I don't expect it will make you feel any better, but you're not the first person to miss out on the PC playoffs for failure to check in on these boards.
I'm sure that right now, you're just angry and upset. I'm truly sad that this happened for you, and I hope you will participate in future tournaments.
