closer question

If I set a reliever to close against right handers, what determines if or when he actually will?

Good question. I'm going to try lefty/righty closers for the first time with my latest team. I am also curious.

The reason I ask is that I gave Tom Henke that role, and he as logged ZERO innings so far. Admittedly it's a 170 M league and I have other good relievers, but I want him in that specific role. Such a setup hasn't worked well in other leagues either, though.

If you want to use him as your main guy and you also have one main guy vs. lefties might try setting closer to Maximize-
the problem I think you will encounter is that hes likely to pitch just one inning most of the time.

Thanks, Salty...I'll have another look at that.may have switched off the maximize that i usually use.
I need to get him some work...his agent keeps leaving messages about this being the last year of his contract and needing innings to look good as a free agent.
