It is odd (read: wrong) that if my starter pitches one third of an inning and gets pulled, he's out for three (or four games). But if my (super) reliever pitches 5 innings, he's back the next night as long as it isn't his third day in a row.
I don't think they SOM should necessarily try to kill this strategy; however, there should be some kind of relief fatigue for long stints. The limit this reliever to 2-3 innings check box is a joke. Why bother?
