HCKL Chat/Trades

I welcome myself back from an overseas trip, but still not settled into looking over the wreckage of my 2012 Card Season in 2013 across the board in SOMO. I am excited by prospects here in HCKL.

I am not averse to using all the cards, as in Option #1, but if Qk is prepared to monitor his option #2, I am fully prepared to endorse him in that. I just hope for a player eligible list and am very much looking forward to any hints folks may have about what SOMO has in store for us this year prior to our draft.

I would vote in the following order:

controlled inclusion
leave the rules "as-is"
unleashed

I would like to register strong opposition to the unleashed option with the commissioner.

I would also like to encourage the commissioner to consider that any changes made to the player pool be made applicable to the draft following the draft after the rule is modified.

We have quite a few that favor full Unleashed, a couple who prefer regular set, and a couple who if we move to some kind of unleashed, would prefer a controlled set of them. So we have no real consensus, and my inclination is still to go with some degree of controls. It is not a big headache administratively, will literally take all of 10 minutes extra as part of the available players list. I will work on that this weekend & keep you posted, still want to draft at end of the month.

I'm opposed to unleashed cards.

After looking at my roster, I am looking to deal Chase Headley and Yadier Molina. Positions of need are LF, CF and 1B.

Thurs 1/24 - drops due at midnite EST, should include stadium drops and initial promotions from minor league roster. You will also be able to promote minor leaguers in lieu of making a draft pick but prefer to get as many of these out of the way as possible. Please post drops/adds in the HCKL Transactions thread.

Mon Jan 27 - draft starts @ 10am EST, no clock 1st round, 2 hr clock all subsequent rounds. Please use proxies if needed!

Stadium draft will now be part of the regular draft, not separate. See the email for details.
