Problem Solving101 ~ Shuffled & LIVE ~ FULL!!!

At least on my end.... SHould be a great addition that SHould change the game of online strat for the better.

I was a little discouraged when I saw the first leagues are going to be a classical in the capless sense. This brought me visions of a meta saturated in the limitless utopias that are "LIVE" Live Drafts involivng the entire 5000 some player pool. Hopefully the Live Draft provides us with the ability to create diverse game modes that can satisfy everyone.

I want something resembling scarcity and shuffled leagues have always peaked my interest because of that.


I propose a LIve Draft league with a 1,000 card shuffled player set. Initially, I was thinking capless and just take the best of the finite talent pool but looking at how a 1,000 card player pool works out now, they appear quite top heavy. the 2 pages of the most expensive hitters (100 players) bottoms out at like 7.5 mil. That's like 8 guys per team that are great. Therefore, I say cap. 100 mil?

The set will be "made" just before the draft and then we'll go at it. Not sure of all the draft specifications we'll be allowed but let's have a pretty quick clock. Minute or so.

It turns out by creating/digging around about the league, I created a set. Sorry about this and hopefully this doesn't upset anyone but it is a great set. COME ONE AND ALL FOR THE FIRST LIVE DRAFT OF ITS KIND

You can enter a live draft and review the player pool prior to the draft start time. Problem solved.

As far as I know, N Texas Widowmakers is correct. What we'll end up doing is find an agreed upon starting time for the draft, say, 9PM Eastern, and form the pool for everyone to look at at 8:30PM Eastern to give everyone some time (but not alot) to scour the pool of players. Maybe an hour or more.

Thanks for the observation bkeat. Hope to have you aboard. All paramaters are open to negotiation so hopefully we find something we can all agree on.

Logistically speaking then, the set will be created, then everyone will have to create their team and enter the league.

Might have to set it up a bit earlier if there is a deadline for a league to be full before the draft that is more than a few minutes. I am a bit worried that SOM won't have the live draft available for the shuffle leagues but sure hoping they are.

Any idea on a draft night? Definitely interested but definitely do not want to be committed to a time/night I can't be there for the duration. My online availability tends to be inconsistent and skews towards later in the evening.

Good point Mr.BBWorld, we could make the set viewable to everyone for the entirety of the day of the draft the night before at 11:59PM or something.

As for when to draft: 1. when we all can/agree 2. when strat releases the Live Draft.

Having been a part of the Monday night draft, I can say it works great. I'd hope for a rollout in a just a few days assuming Thursday night goes well as...well.

Let's say, FRIDAY 2/7/14 at 9 PM ET ----->went ahead and switched it to Monday, 1/27 at 10 PM ET

Open to negotiation but as a general idea?

League need to fill 45 minutes prior to draft. Pick range is from 1 minute to 2.5 minutes.

Appears to handle shuffle leagues and 24 team leagues with a cap range of 60 million to 999 million.

On second thought I can't do next Friday although I put next next Friday by saying 2/7

I'm game for doing this asap. Any thoughts? Tonight 11PM eastern?

If nothing else, I wanna do some 80 or 100 million Live Draft.
