After exhaustive research, I hope he's still out there - the search engine gave a big "WTF-I don't know" on him.

My spreadsheet shows him as still available.

Given that this is the eighth league that we've had a draft with, I'm a bit surprised that we haven't come up with some method of sharing a spreadsheet. I have to imagine that there's been a duplication of effort in this regard. If we were able to do this, then we wouldn't have to rely on the Search Engine that is overwhelmed with the Smiths and the Johnsons.

I work from memory and know how to advance search by time period not including who has been taken.

At the top of each page in the discussion thread is a box which says "search this topic". You can type in the last name of a player, and all posts with this player's name highlighted will show up, with the exception of those deemed too common. Although I have kept my own spreadsheet, I also use this search engine to confirm the availability of players.

A case in point regarding names deemed too common. My last selection, Bob "Beetle" Bailey, was one. I had to rely on just the accuracy of my spreadsheet for that one. Taylor is another common name that the search engine doesn't recognize. If a player hasn't been selected, you will either get the following message "No suitable matches were found", or his highlighted name will appear on lists of available players that were previously posted on the discussion thread.
