1. $70 million cap to attempt parity and encourage taking your favorite team
2. 3 free agents allowed to be drafted from teams that are not chosen as part of the league. This will help you fill any weak spots in your franchise but you must remain at or below $70 million. So list those free agents first on your draft list because the players carded to your franchise are exclusively yours all season even if not drafted by you.
3. No DH
4. Random division assignment
5. Must use your Franchise ballpark
6. Please use the city name or actual nickname or both when drafting your team for easy identification of your franchise.
7. Trading of Free Agents is allowed
8. Waivers/5/10/20

Doesn't it make more sense to draft the 3 free agent signings last, not first?
Reason - if you draft the 3 free agents in the first 3 auto draft spots, there is a risk that, if 2 managers draft the same free agent, the auto draft HAL could "replace" one managers pick with a player who is carded to a drafted franchise. That could cause a cascading effect of missed player picks and substitutions by HAL.
By contrast, if the players carded to your team are drafted in the 1-22 spots in the auto draft, then they will not be accidentally used by HAL as substitutions in the auto draft.
Am I wrong? Am I missing something?
