Live Draft.....with Waivers???

PostWed Feb 26, 2014 1:53 pm

I don't understand, what is the point of having a waiver period after a live draft? Why wait two days to open up free agency? This does not make sense to me, am I missing something?

No you're not missing anything as I don't understand it either. I think this occurs more often because the default for a live draft is waivers 'yes' but I think the default should be 'no'.

Amen Underdog. I just finished a live draft with a bunch of veterans and to a man I don't think anyone is pleased having to wait two days to make any moves, it just seems silly. Please remember next time you set up a live draft to do it with "FRENZY" unless there is a very particular reason not to.

Good point Keyzick, I had not thought about that. Good luck to your Nava Say Nava team.

Keyzick, the reason I brought it up is because live drafting is new to many people here. I am experienced with it from my days of playing SOM on the TSN site. On the TSN site live draft leagues did not have waivers, so I am trying to educate people about their options. I guess an argument can be made for waivers with a live draft league, though I don't really buy it. Oh yeah, and I want to do live leagues so I will have to join ones that have waivers if there is no other option. Otherwise I would follow your sage advice. I look forward to meeting your team in our new league. Good luck

Looking forward to a challenging division! (By the way...I think I may be one of the few that was happy with my draft results 8-)

Keyzick, you have a very nice looking team!.... I was very pleased with my draft, save for one mistake. It should be a fun competitive league.
