Hey gang. I'm responding to an e-mail from JoeOC. I understand Tomwistar is leaving the league. I'd be happy to step in for him, if you haven't found his replacement yet. Been awhile since I played in this league with you guys. I see Munich Man has tied me for all time championships in the SBDL. I feel I must pick up the gauntlet he has hurled down. Anyway, if the commish (Hackra) gives me the OK, and no one else has been promised the spot, count me in!

You may elect to choose a new stadium if you wish, and you may also pick your keepers when you have a chance to look at the league (eligible letters are at the top of this page)....so far only I have named my first set of keepers, and there are just a few games left until the end of the season.

Thanks, Hackra. OK, so for season 32, the M's are retired. Refresh my memory, can I keep Medwick if I wanted, or do I lose him? I see the H hitters have been retired, but Tom has Hornsby. I assume he has been a keeper, and thus still allowed. (If right, then I guess that answers the Medwick question). And is there a limit as to how many keepers I can have? Seems like I remember 7 was the max, and there had to be a 4:3 ratio, if keeping 7? Sorry, it's been a while, and the rules for the theme/keeper leagues I still play in all kind of blend in to one massive mishmash in my brain. And, are parks unique? If so, and I wish to change parks, I should know what parks are currently being used.

If a player is on your team, he can be named a keeper regardless of letter.
Each manager names up to 3 keepers to start the preseason.
Then there is a steal round, where each manager must choose a player from someone else's team (this is in reverse order of finish for the prior season, also a team may be stolen from only once)
after your team has been stolen from, you may select up to another 3 keepers.
Keepers will then total up to 7 (6 from your prior years team plus the steal)
of these 7 there can be a maximum of 4 of one type (no more than 4 hitters nor 4 pitchers)
you may elect to keep fewer than 6 keepers from your own team.
if you wish, you may move parks, but if you do so, you are to remain in the new park for 3 seasons* before changing again.

*however, there is a league reset every 8 seasons as we complete the letter groupings. (season 34 will be a reset year)
At reset, the divisions are randomized, managers each select a letter grouping for inclusion, then there is a 14 round draft with 13 eligible players and 1 unique stadium. At the reset the order of draft is based on win percent over the prior 2 seasons (worst picks first).

For what it is worth, the last unused letter group going forward to season 33 will be P,T, and V hitters.
(The eligible letters for season 32 are at the top of this page).

You may go ahead and name 3 keepers (any 3 players from the Red Sovines) now. You may also name your stadium (stadium must be named before the end of the second round of keepers). Any retired letter may NOT be drafted (so you may make Medwick and Hornsby keepers, but if you do not, they may not be drafted).

Keepers can change years.
Keepers (including steal picks) MUST remain on your squad through game 6 of the season.
Draft picks are NOT required to stay on your opening day squad.
