Thanks man, that means a lot coming from a vet :)

Lol, I'm far from an expert. I haven't played a lot at this cap. There's a reason I started this thread to begin with!

But I have figured a few things out and your team does look good to me.

But if you want a better opinion, maybe Druid or Nev or Morpheus will chime in....

Not to be a wise guy but 'IT' is the same thing that wins at 60M, 80M and 100M ...score more runs than your opponent.

Wins are what you want... nothing more.. nothing less.

When I get in the middle of the planing, scheming and the process of drafting a team I always remember what was great advice for me.

From Munich Man:
use his BOLD METHOD, works every time.

Just entered my first ever 999m league. I'm deploying the Munich Man BOLD method. When that fails, I'll copy Nev's team! I'm sure to have a good view of it from beneath him in the standings.

For hitters, BOLD = good. Reverse for pitchers.

Draft results are in. #1 waiver pick! Woo Hoo! :?

Not only did I get the #1 pick and worst draft luck, I also got the consolation prize of 17-25 lefties for my Minute Maid park. I received 4 of my listed players, highest being my 13th ranked player. I realize that this is primarily due to my rushed team entry and complete lack of draft strategy but I thought that I'd get maybe just a little bit lucky...just ran the team totals after the draft. I'm 8m behind the next lowest salaried team.

At least I named my team correctly before the draft:
