Odds are 1/6 of winning whether it's a 6,12, or 24 team league
6 teams - 1 person wins 1 credit

12 teams-1 person wins 1 credit, 1 person wins 2 credits

24 teams-4 division winners win at least 1 credit. 3 more credits are up for grabs in the finals (between them and the 4 wild cards).

Each one has it's own problem
Personally, I can see owners giving up in a 6 team league and there is only 1 credit paid out.
For a 12 team league you have to win a series to get a credit. A great regular season gets zip
24 team leagues are rare, but at least division winners get a credit and the wild cards have to win 2 series to get a credit.

Geekor, I think you guys are splitting hairs and you don't have to be rude. The odds of winning something in either 6 or 12 team leagues are one in 6 (as you say). But the credits paid out in 12 team leagues are 1 in 4, as opposed to 1 in 6 for 6 team leagues.

I hope you don't think I'm being rude. I understand both points. I won't play a 6 team league because you can't win more than 1 credit. My point is SOM should be consistent and give a credit to all 3 division winners in a 12 team league plus an extra one to the champ (like the 24 team leagues). Make wild cards earn their 2 credits. (Most of my finalists have been wild cards so I'm not being selfish, just realistic).

Scumby, I definitely do NOT think you were being rude. And I supposed I should not have even called Geekor out but he wrote, "Why is it half the people here don't understand math" which is really not that rude, but it is not all that nice either. I think Geekor is very smart and a good manager, but he can be quick to dismiss someone in a brusque manner.

Scumby, you opinion is valued and I can see your points and agree with many of them. I would prefer that all the playoff teams win 1/2 credit and the champion get two credits, or something of that nature. Often times a wildcard will have a much much better record than one of the division winners and when that is the case the wild card won more games in a much tougher division. .... We could debate this forever and all opinions are valid. Debate is a good thing, argument not quite as much. Goods luck to you and all your teams!

Thanks, It seems I always get stuck in the toughest division. SOM would be smart to award 1/2 credits to the wild card for example.
