Worry about OPS more than batting average.

I love base stealing teams, but in this game, the gain produced from stealing is wiped out by attempted steals of 3rd and Home.

For example. I had a team that stole 2nd at a rate of 260 to 80 times caught. That's way over 66% and a number I'm totally happy with. However, they also stole 3rd at a rate of 29 to 26 and home at a rate of 6 to 7. This cost me runs and almost obliterates the gain I received from them stealing 2nd.

A simple check box of "don't steal 3rd or Home" would add another dimension to this game and elevate base stealing to a more appropriate status.

And certainly, OBP is more important than BA, but BA is still very important, especially in bringing in runners from 2nd or 3rd base. A walk doesn't do that.

PS. I like your strategy of stacking good pitching and then alternating cheap hitting per ballpark. I think it could work @ 80m because there seems to be far more value hitter than pitchers

Yeah Nev

Its much different drafting in the ATG, than in a single season draft. Pitching in the ATG seems to be unimportant where as getting the best pitching in a single season draft is very important.

But as it was my first online draft, I failed to realize it lol.

What I always loved CT is grabbing great pitching so I wouldn't have to face them myself. Then make up for the lack of great power hitting with defence and base stealing. In a single season draft it was always fun to do that. I would have stellar pitching and when guys would roll on my pitchers card with their HR guys it would always piss them off because when I did it with my .270 defensive guys, I would be getting hits and stealing bases. Even if I lost, I had fun driving them crazy with, So, Are you holding my guy at first base, are you holding him at second base?

Anyway I always found it more enjoyable to win games 2-1 or 3-2 than 8-6, or 12-10 as they would when playing each other.
