Re: Stadium Question

I am in a draft and we will use unique stadiums. Trying to get a feel for what stadium I should use with the team that I drafted so far. I ended up getting Target Field as Fenway Park was already taken. The other stadiums in my division are: Chase Field, Turner Field and Kauffman Stadium. Thanks, SGT D

When I first started this game I found many right handed hitters that looked good. When I was done drafting I had many good hitters that batted right. You will find that the good left handed hitters get drafted early and often.

I posted a thread last year about how much Kershaw sucked and many posts followed about the homeruns he gave up and just how bad he was. Why? Because many right handed batters can hit a lefty in this game no matter how good his card is. 50 percent of the time (odds) the roll ends up on the batters card. Kershaw with his great card and all those stats can't pitch worth a damn when the roll hits the batters card. Grab a Park that leans right handed will help but you will see 75 percent more right handed pitchers during the season. You need to have some left handed batters.

I have a keeper league with a line up of Choo, Goldschmidt, Davis, Miggy, Tulo, Van Slyke, Parra, Kipnis and Montero. I also own Kershaw, Lee and Fernandez. My pitching sucks with 2 of my 3 best left handed and after Davis I have no power from the left side. With 25 players on my roster I have a salary of $140MIL. All I keep looking at is how am I going to hit a right handed pitcher while Kershaw and Lee get bombed all season long. That with a $140MIL salary.

It is more about the splits than what the end stats are. So he hits .370 but has a 9L. He can"t see a pitch coming from the right let alone hit it.

You are
Molina 1L
Goldschmidt 1L power
Phillips E DP hitting machine
Rollins E
Donaldson 4L
Holiday 2R
Choo 6R lead off
Rayburn 3L
Encar 2R

After Choo you have nothing from the left that can hit a right handed pitcher on the pitchers card. Who is going to hit for power against 75 percent of the pitchers you face 50 percent of the time while Verlander, Gonzalez and Wood get hammered all day long.

Sorry about the negative post but I don't see anything else happening for you.

You do NOT want to play Choo in CF.

Gotta say, Sarge, I see a lotta problems here, all the stuff that's already been pointed out. Top heavy on righties, CF with no range, a team with good parts that doesn't fit together right. I think you've got to rejigger, get Choo out of center, move him to left, dump any permutation of Holliday/Raburn/Encarnacion for 1-3 LH bats that get on base with N-power but not a ton of BPHR, maybe find a platoon or two. This team is not set yet. Just my two cents since you asked.

At least he picked a good stadium for all those right handed bats. Raburn is currently leading my league in HRs (after 36 games) with 14. .... One thing for sure, that lineup will destroy LHP. ... If you move Choo to LF or DH and get one or two more left handed hitters with a high OBP you should be fine. ..... One thing I noticed after just 36 games in my first 2013 league, not one single team has a losing record versus LH starting pitchers..... You will need to get some luck to win, no matter who you are, and remember to have fun and enjoy it. Good luck!

In my division (teams I face), there are 14 LH and 15 RH. Overall there are 20 LHSP and 37 RHSP with 22 LHRP and 37 RHRP. SGT D
