My pick is up and I was going to select Xander Bogaerts until I realized he is only carded in the unleashed set. We do not use the unleashed set, so I am not sure how we want to proceed on the drafting of unleashed cards though we don't use that set. I don't know if this has come up in the past. We have two options as I see it. We can allow the drafting of unleashed players though they cannot be used, or they are excluded because they are not carded in the Leashed set. Please weigh in on this matter, or give insights or cite past practice. Thanks.

Hate to be a PITA, but my understanding is they have to have a card and becuase we use the regular set unleashed guys aren't eligible cause they don't have a card in our set. I didn't draft Bogarets for that reason.

We've never drafted unleashed players before. I didn't even consider them available. We'd have to start the draft again to be fair, right? I would have taken Jose Fernandez or Puig anyway with 2nd pick so I'm not affected but I can't speak for the other players with later picks.

It's not being a PITA at all, Bill. That is what I assumed would be the case, but I couldn't remember if it was discussed previously. I am in agreement, unleashed players are not eligible to be drafted as they don't have a card for our purposes. I'll draft shortly.

This is from January of '13:

Thank you for pointing that out Palm. Obviously, I am losing my mind. I am only 44, but I feel like I am suffering from dementia these days. I am being pulled in 10 different directions, I can't keep all my leagues straight, or my daughter's nicknames for that matter.

And I had a hell of a time making my pick as well. I had about 5 guys under serious consideration and I had a lot of trouble differentiating between them, what their current contributions could be, as well as their futures. I just hope he can avoid the Atlanta injury club, and figure out how to get lefties out.

Hawk finished up the first round. Is the clock on, now? Or does it begin whenever Cubit makes his pick. I don't want to skip him or anything but don't want to get skipped myself wen 4 hours passes.

"There will be no clock for the first round and a two hour clock will go into effect for the second round through conclusion from 10 AM - 10 PM. There will be no clock on Saturday and Sunday, though proxies are encouraged."

This is the precedent that was set last year, and we will be sticking with it again. So, the clock is on and Cubit's time is expired. Jack can pick now, and Cubit can pick at any time.

After hawk took Ryu this morning there were 4 picks left till mine. I was targeting 4 players. After a perfect storm of inactivity I was able to get my first choice. Maybe draft fatigue is setting in as we approach 1 month since the games release.

Yeah, we have not had a very productive day. Hopefully, everyone will check in and get back on board. If there's any draft I don't want to miss a pick, it's this one with more available players.

Just a heads up, I will be COMPLETELY unavailable next week starting on the 27th through the 30th. I'll be driving my wife to North Carolina to get her settled in her temporary housing so she can start her new job on the 31st, as well as touring my daughters' new schools and viewing possible houses to purchase. I will attempt to leave proxies, but kinda hope we are still moving at a snails pace next week too.
