FrankMansuetto - did Treyomo give you proxy to name his team?

Thanks!

Look at his message. He selected Les Expos. I posted it on the draft list.

Darn. I was planning on either the Astros or Expos. Re-evaluating. Be ready shortly.

"e. Players from any remaining franchise are ineligible, unless they have a card for one of your franchises. For example, if Toronto is not selected, then Clemens (who has his highest value card with Toronto) would be open after the waiver draft to either Boston or Houston. However, Boston or Houston would not be allowed to use his Toronto card."

Does this answer the second part of your question? I believe you have free access to any of your "elibigle" free agents (a player carded for either of your two franchises) - not exactly free though - subject to the in-season penalty schedule. As far as the 28 player limit - I would assume you'd have the right to do that as long as you're under the 200M cap. Better wait for the commish to confirm any of this though - I'm just conversing. :)

I would like to add a question though as a follow up to the commish's example in "e" above. Say Toronto would be selected, and for some reason Clemens wasn't selected for the Toronto roster? Wouldn't he still be eligible for either Boston or Houston to select in the post waivers free agent draft? Maybe your other rules cover that scenario, but just from the "e" excerpt I'm vague on that.

Never mind - I believe I found that answer in the commish's rule "c" -

"c. Any player, with multiple team cards, that is not chosen by the franchise he has the highest value card for would be available to another franchise he has a card for - after the waiver draft. The thought on "after the waiver draft" is to allow for corrections of any erroneous selections."

Musial is correct with the interpretations above.

Please note:

If your franchise "owns" a player (I.e., he has the highest value card with one of your franchise) and another team "inadvertently" selects that player, please post a "claim" message to everyone. It will then be incumbent upon the other team to drop that player in the waiver draft. Other teams will not be allowed to pick up that player since he was "claimed". If I need to make a ruling, I have a gavel at hand. ;)

If do you "claim" that player and then subsequently drop him after game 1, all bets are off and he can play for any other team that has a franchise card for that player - but remember, they can only use that player's card for their selected franchise.

I think the Mets go nicely with the Redsox, wouldn't you all agree? You could have Bill Buckner play first base for them!

LOL - Hmm, can't argue with that type of analytical anomaly.

Interestingly, I am a huge Mets fan. And although 1986 was the last time we Mets fans had reason to celebrate, I'll pass on the Mets.
