removing players with the lead

I would think an easy option of "remove player with the lead". (Blow Out). Nothing worse then losing a high injury player winning 12-0 in the 8th.

I love the idea.

Blow out may need to be changed to a run limit, like "Remove after 7 innings if Run differential in 10 runs or greater" or something like that.

Blow Out is vague. Give it a number value.

Sometimes my "Mopup" reliever comes in with the score closer than I'd like, for example.

7 runs after the 7th

Of course the title could also be that you want to shoot the baserunners with a lead bullet.... I mistook the title completely, stupid English language, be more standard!

If Manny Mota is constantly protected from being injured by being removed from games in which the lead is substantial due to his offensive contributions, the player will not achieve his expected games missed due to injury and this is in injustice to opposing managers.

If the proposed idea were implemented, then Smokey Burgess and players of his ilk would need to have their salaries adjusted upward.

Mota was a pinch hitter back in those days pinch hitters couldn't get injured

Perhaps, but if you were in a CDROM league, this is exactly how you would manage

Personally i would prefer a choice on using injuries at all. What i think would be better is the option of using at bat totals. If a player had 450 ABs for that season then thats how many ABs he is allowed to accumulate. With this option there is no need to use the injuries.

that would be interesting, you would have to manage their at bats. you could save all your wounded to have available for the end of the season.
