Oof! I've gotta find a way to get on base. For a while I thought I would get shutout for all three games. One third of my hits came on Ballpark Singles.

For the initial Windows based format simulations (10 or so runs), your starting rotation held the fort quite well. Your OF arms and IF positive range + low e-rating - made it tough to go station to station. When I establish your new rotation and lineup, HAL's stats will reveal if Kershaw is a "loser" - highly doubtful.

When HAL set the default batting order, he hit Choo near the top versus LHSPs. With the number of LHSPs in the division, Choo will struggle indeed. Luckily, we don't play 162 games against our division foes.

Yes, time will tell how Choo pans out for me. Of course, I didn't have better options in my hand.

It's only 3 games Spider. I doubt you'll hit < .200 for the season. I mean, you didn't draft a big offense team and you play in a pitcher's park, but it's not goign to be *that* bad. :)

Yeah, a LOT earlier. I noticed that last year. I was surprised when it was *that* early last night however. I was watching your moves and noticed that the games had played.

Bad timing. :shock:

Of course, it didn't help your salary situation to drop Keppinger twice and to pick up drew and drop him w/o his playing a game for you. ;)

I made the following downgrades:

Cingrani -> Stults
Paco Rodriguez -> Diekman
Papelbon -> Fields
Crawford (LF) -> Gose

Then I made the following upgrades (at least more money anyway):
Ogando -> Greinke
Henderson -> Melancon

And the following additions:
Jarrod Parker
Ondrusek
... etc...

It will be interesting to see how you juggle those pitchers. I'm betting that you'll drop a couple by mid-season. ;)

The trifecta for a disaster... Poor strategy, improperly implemented, with a touch of panic.

Was easy to drop him as I have him in a keeper league and he was batting .225, my team is 73-35 at GAB before I sent him down to the Single A Abyss League to ride the short bus and find his swing. I have read the threads and he is doing well but not for me. He did however have a .372 OBP.

My pitching should be great but I am the one that last year started the thread about Kershaw getting bombed and throwing beach balls for HR's all season long. He is also on that team and he is 16-10 while the team is again 73-35.

6 teams currently have a winning record on the road while only 3 have a winning record at home. :lol:

Sorry, Chase. That was one of those series where the dice kept on making the same rolls (e.g. 3 rolls for hits against Kershaw on the pitcher's card, 2 of them the same die roll).

I replicated the league rosters for the 2013 SOM season. :ugeek:

If anyone wants to share their opinion of the game rules and options settings (e.g., super advance, primary, misc max rules), please do so. I've my ideas how Bernie built the game but will be happy to adjust.

For pitching, I've built your default SP rotation and back end of the bullpen (closer role).

For batting, I've entered your R/L lineup cards where available. Unfortunately, I've not established your defensive replacements or situation hitting specialists. HAL does a fair job of adjusting fielders.

For your manager strategy, I used the default computer manager. In several instances, HAL has altered the default settings (normal) and placed "aggressive" or "conservative" settings for base path running or relief.

The obvious is obvious :shock: - LHSPs are no longer a rare sighting in the NLD series. From that jump off point, you can see how LHSPs impacted various team's strategies despite their ball park dimensions dictating a different player selection.
