One of our playoff managers will not have Internet access from May 14 through May 19. Therefore, we will switch the East and the West divisions so the playoff teams go into the West. (Ironically, we were voting on doing this very thing.) This will allow us to complete the draft and load all other teams before the Oaks return.

This will allow us to complete loading early in the week of May 19 and avoid having waivers over the Memorial Day holiday. Opening day will be May 26.

Once the draft is complete, all managers will have four protected players. The managers will load into the league in order based on record. I will let each manager know when it's time to load. The four weakest teams will load into the East. After the Central is loaded, the four playoff teams will load into the West.

Each manager will fill out a draft card just like any other non-live-draft league. Managers should list their protected players last on their draft cards. (Failure to do so will put that manager at a severe disadvantage in getting the players he wants.) There is an $80 million salary cap, and we do use the DH.

If anyone drafts someone else's protected player by mistake, it's corrected (usually by trade) during the preseason.

Trade: The Devils send Ivan Rodriguez to the Fishheads in exchange for Randy Johnson.
