Hey Joe,

So sorry to hear this news. I have been where you are now, so I know it hurts. Sending positive vibes from across the sea.

Look after yourself and your loved ones.

Warm regards
Chris

Thanks to all of you. It is much appreciated. We are getting through this one day at a time and trying to enjoy whatever time we have left. My sisters and I are working well together so that's good.

Feel free to get back to the SOM talk. I'm thankful for your support and I don't want to quash league talk! So in that vein, some thoughts: We've had trouble with Stoney (as have many with the notable exception of Chase!), but I can't complain. I'm not sure what to make of our very good road record versus a decent home record. Probably just a small sample size as we've only played 45 games. Speaking of which, I'm surprised that we went past the first waiver difference with only big moves by Semper. Generally 2-3 teams make moves at the "deadline".

One-run losses are driving me nuts! I think the biggest contributor to the 1-run record is my lack of ability to turn DPs. My team is about average when it comes GIDPs, but way low in the field. I expected to be better with Escobar, Kipnis and Votto (didn't expect much at 3B) in the field and both Iwakuma and Lee are good DP pitchers.

I'm fairly well-pleased with my team so far (except against my neighbor in the "other" Carolina). Hitting's not too hot, but my pitching has been better than expected. Obviously don't like being at 24-24, especially with having the dice on my side, but I'm an optimist at heart.

Nice playing against you guys.
