Eckersley 1990

I am sure I am not the 1st to see this, but Eckersley 1990 is a N closer! 48 saves isn't enough? Just live with it?

Not exactly sure or why, but I don't think the closer ratings you see in 20XX are applicable to the ATG relievers.
Someone else more knowledgeable in the closer rating system might comment on this.

This has to do with when the card set year was created.

Once upon a time strat cards did not have a closer feature or closer ratings. All annual sets were like this. Past seasons created were also like this. They are often referred to in the strat world as chevy seasons.

Then one year they decided to add the closer rule with the special fatigue rules and ratings. And other advanced rules. Going forward each year the new cards for that season would have ratings. But they did not go back and update all the past season cards. Over time they have updated some seasons to super advanced form and these are referred to among strat world enthusiasts as cadillac seasons.

For the online game for the most part they just added whatever card existed at that moment. So some of our ATG cards have super advanced features such as closer ratings and gb(A) on cards. The closer ratings are supposed to be totally ignored. Not sure all new people are aware of that. But for purposes of playing ATG there is no difference between a rating of N or a rating of 6.
