Since 1916, eight pitchers in their careers have pitched 2 one-hitters with no walks. Can you name them?

Pretty quiet boards with no guesses to this point! I think Seaver was one of them; I think I witnessed it at Three Rivers (but the mind plays tricks, so...)

I was thinking Seaver too. Also Don Sutton, maybe Gaylord Perry?

Just because I know he had a lot of no-hitters spoiled in the 9th, I'll guess Mussina.

I think it was Dave Stieb from the Toronto Blue Jays

Going to guess Jack Morris as well.
And any discussion of low hit games gotta take a flyer on Nolan Ryan. :D

for sure, but I'd guess the odds of a no walk game out of Ryan pretty long :D

I would have loved it to have been Ryan but no. Stieb, Perry, Seaver, Sutton, and Morris don't make the list either.

On the other hand, Carlton and Mussina make the grade. Only six to go. Including the "meanest guy I ever saw" dixit Joe Dimaggio and a snakebit Giant.

Well, when I think meanest, I think of Gibson and Drysdale.
