I would have thought the Yanks too, but even though they had a bunch of old fogeys, those old guys didn't have enough at bats to qualify for the batting title. You're going to have to go back a few more years. Hint: there was a former Yankee on the team we are looking for.

I'm gonna go with the 1985 California Angels which had Reggie Jackson, Rod Carew, Bob Boone, Brian Downing, and Bobby Grich.

In light of Josh Beckett's no-hitter today it is interesting to note that it was against those 34+ year old laden Phillies. Beckett is also the owner of one of those 1hit -no walk games a few years back vs Tampa Bay.
