To reset, just click on "leave this league;" Then you can change the salary, team name, manager's name, roster and just about anything else.

I'm always amused when people announce new franchise leagues at large caps, and then immediately claim the Yankees. I've never seen one of them fill.

Someone on here had the right idea - have 12 managers sign up, than randomize for the draft.

These type leagues are usually started by guys either new or uncomfortable at high caps. They figure if they take the Yankees that they can finally get a good team at the high cap level.

Well....I apparently saw the post first so grabbed the Cardinals while I could.
But at 140M - that's not low cap certainly and I'm not sure you would call it high cap either - wouldn't it be mid-cap?
I think the other franchises could be competitive at this level.

And right now with 8 selected, there's still available - Braves (Aaron, Mathews, Maddux, Smoltz, Jones(s)), Dodgers (Koufax, Snider, Drysdale, Campanella, Hodges, Robbie), Pirates (Wagner, Adams, Kiner, Stargell, Clemente), Indians (good pitching), Whitesox (good pitching also) Astros (lots of good hitters) and the Redsox are still available - jeez- that's surprising!!!

c - Dickey or Berra or Howard
1b - Gehrig
2b - Cano or Gordon
3b - Rodriguez
ss - Jeter
lf - Ruth
cf - Mantle or Dimaggio
rf - Maris or O'Neill

If the Red Sox want to burn their 1st autodraft spot on Ruth, they have a coin-flip's shot at keeping him from the Yankees but not helping themselves much. Otherwise, the entire NYY lineup is safe from theft.

If the Cubs owner lists Hornsby No. 1, the Cards have a 50-50 shot at losing their best player.

In this type of league, the Yankees are in the playoffs. Everyone else signs up for a 3-of-11 shot at one of the remaining spots.

Yep - you're right.

Commish, want to make it a random draft of the franchises - with maybe one reverse order free agent pick? Otherwise, we may not fill out to 12. Just a random thought or suggestion.

I made the earlier suggestion to randomize and I'm still all for it. I'll stay in if the commish wants to keep it the way he set it up, but I'm not drafting a team until we fill, which it looks like might happen.

I was thinking it was 200mil like a couple earlier leagues. 140mil kind of helps keep the teams more even.
