Um, speaking for myself outside my new role as commissioner...I'd say based on our track record if you understand the rules and concept of the league and can participate in the draft, sign up. We have missed at least 2 other dates/times for the live draft, and we still 2 empty slots with the draft for tomorrow night. Let's get this done!

Just thought of something. There can't be any no-shows at this draft as there's no way to regulate the take one from every team philosophy and that player would be at a great disadvantage.

And we still need one more for the draft to happen.

Is there a draft time and date that is do-able? I know that isn't what you are saying, Jeep, just recognizing I picked a new date without consulting anyone, and the struggle to get and keep 12 players at all, much less also all available at the same draft time seems to be daunting.

I think the live draft is optimal, and perhaps with an unlimited salary cap setting it is the only way we could do a live draft. I recognize it is far more balky, but perhaps a salary cap and an autodraft with what would be a vigorous free agent frenzy is how we get this done. After all, ultimately we are depending on the honor system for compliance with the 1-per team requirement anyway.

Or do I have some other hidden commissioner powers that I am unaware of?

An auto draft would be a frenzy nightmare to make sure a player was only taken once and only one player from each team. Also, all 12 members have to be signed up at least 45 minutes before the draft is to begin in order for the draft to proceed according to the rules.

If we can not get this format going maybe we could have each owner draft (2) teams and their teams have to come from players from their chosen teams. Not what we wanted but it could then be an auto draft without any real problems. It could be either 80m or 100m salary cap and that would work.

Just throwing out some ideas so we can get this started. I love the one from each team format but it has its innate challenges.

Who we missing to close this puppy out?

I am. I have a meeting that is currently scheduled to finish close to 9:00. It is a 14 minute drive to get home, plus draft page load. I am working on moving the meeting to an earlier start. It was originally scheduled for a 8:30 finish, but got moved on Tuesday night. If can find a replacement, fill it. I understand.
