What is wrong with this team? I'm sure it's pitching but I am also 11th in runs scored. I seem to be incapable of playing above an 80 million dollar cap anymore. This is easily the worst team I have ever had. Heck I might lose 120 games. Is there any hope? Be brutal in your assessment if you must.
Your park would seem favorable to RH power hitters. So as an opponent I am going to try working my rotation so you face my tougher RH starters. Much of your offense appears tailored to hit LH pitching though.
I'd prefer 1-2 starters in the 9-10m range for 100M teams. Are you always behind when you get to that expensive bull pen? Valen may have found an issue with the l slanted hitters. Seems like enough hitting though. FWIW
There is a problem with the hitting. It's not obvious until you look at the cards. With your BP, you should have RH hitters that ADD a lot of extra ballpark homerun chances. You do not want those BP chances to be on already certain or near certain HRs. (see Torre 3-6 ,, Banks 2-8 Post 2-8 against LHP 2-6 against RHP).
You're also not maximizing your bullpen. Mariano has faced fewer batters than Dave Roberts, and less than half as many as Frank Linzy. Roberts has faced primarily right-handed hitters so far (which defeats the purpose of having him), and neither of them has been effective even when they have had the platoon advantage.

You're right about Mariano. The closer thing is not working even though I have him selected for other things like "tied and late" and "tied and 9th +" and Roberts is selected only as a left handed specialist so that all Hal. I tell you is on the crack pipe! But am changing Mo's settings. Also thanks to ScumbyJr. I see what you're talking about with th BP homers.
