If the Red Sox want to burn their 1st autodraft spot on Ruth, they have a coin-flip's shot at keeping him from the Yankees but not helping themselves much. Otherwise, the entire NYY lineup is safe from theft.

If the Cubs owner lists Hornsby No. 1, the Cards have a 50-50 shot at losing their best player.

In this type of league, the Yankees are in the playoffs. Everyone else signs up for a 3-of-11 shot at one of the remaining spots.

Those possible rosters.....They don't look quite like this team.

1. Yanks
2. Cards
3. Mets
4. NEL's
5. Giants
6. Reds
7. A's
8. Cubs
9. RedSox

Nevdully convinced me that this is not a level playing ground at 140M. I'm throwing the Tigers back into the ring and dropping out. What am I doing in ATG anyway? Back to the mystery games for me.

I really like these franchise leagues, especially the challenge of trying to put together a team that can compete with the Yankees. But it appears this league may never fill (for reasons that Nev and others have pointed out). So I'm withdrawing the Cubs, but would urge others here to consider signing up for the last two spots in dr.freeze's $155 mil franchise league. It's a lot more fair and should be a lot more fun.

Since this league seems to be going nowhere and because I can use the credit for the upcoming 2013 season tour I am dropping out. The Reds are now available.

Should we just make this a 6-team league?

We still have:

1. Yanks
2. Cards
3. Mets
4. NEL's
5. Giants
6. A's

Yes - we could. In fairness to EvaMaria though and in the interest of making the league supercompetitive - she ought to be persuaded to choose another franchise unless she's really sentimentally attached to the Amazins?!?! Perhaps the RedSox?

I'm dropping out also. The guy that created the league seems to have lost interest also, haven't heard from him. Plus, I'm not doing any six team leagues until they fix the credit payout structure.

I have not been in a franchise league but it sounds good so I'll be happy to take Boston. Any pointers on the particulars of the franchise management would be great. Thanks Rick
