Have you ever had one of those seasons where...

Have you ever had one of those seasons where...

1. You were convinced that the injury chart consisted solely (and equal parts) of 1-game injuries, 3-game injuries, and 15-game injuries.

2. Playing the weakest team at home increased your chance of being swept by 800 percent.

3. Your goals changed throughout the season as follows:
--Preseason goal: Get to the playoffs and win the championship.
--Revised goal: Have a winning record.
--Midseason goal: Get close to .500.
--Late season goal: Don't be the worst team in the league.
--Final goal: Don't lose 100 games.
(Sorry, I may have recycled this one from way back.)

4. That star pitcher that you cut, figuring he had his one stinker year, turned out to have had his best card (mystery card league).

5. A key injury reveals a key hitter's worst season...in game 82 (mystery card league).

Howdy,

I've had the same feeling, especially in recent months.

The Mystery Leagues are so challenging with so much more strategy. I really struggle with when to keep and when to cut players. I am really reluctant to cut players unless I know they are on a real bad card and that often burns me. As I approach game 81 I know my team needs help but I still can't decide what to do. The Mystery Leagues are never boring.
