ditto on the super advanced.
The DP factor for so many players is pretty ridiculous.

@ Gk- that was some pretty amazeballs analysis of Barney Ross.

Defintely agree on the super-advanced subs, the BP HR tweaking and making the NeL players' cards a bit less injury prone and slightly more productive by doing away with the automatic clutch outs.

Glad to see others jumping on the super-advanced bandwagon. I've been harping on it for years and do not use the computer generated players - so no Kiner, Foxx, Greenberg, Wagner, Lajoie, Walter Johnson or Alexander (used 1927 a couple of times) ever makes my teams.

Agree clutch ratings should go. If they were directly tied to something like BA with RISP they would have merit. But as is they seem rather arbitrary and contrived and not reflecting the true performance of the player.

After reading the history of Ross Barnes have to say that would be a terrible addition. Gimmick players like that have no place among the all time greats.

What's the difference between the super advanced cards and the regular cards? And how can you tell which is which?

The card in SOMO is the computer generated card. His rating in the SADV game is 3e4. I addressed this a couple of years ago when the 1971 Seaver became available (it is SADV), but Torre, Blue and the Pirates are not. Clemente would have a better card (1 injury chance vs 2, -6 arm vs -5). I also pointed out the 1977 Carew (2e11 vs 3e18) in addition to a host of others, trying to emphasize replacing computer generated cards with ones that had some research done to them as they became available, but received not one comment.

Maybe these will help a bit. The above was in response to Petrosian asking why Ed Kranepool was an e17 when he had only made 2 errors in 1971.
