Pitch Count

PostSat Jun 07, 2014 4:44 pm

I am not sure if this was discussed or reviewed before.
Does this game use the pitch count for fatigue settings for pitchers?
It seems to.
How is the pitch count determined in the game.
Thank you for the explanation and replies.

Pitch count has no bearing on this game. It is for entertainment purposes only. No factor in pitcher fatigue.

Below is taken from the above link. Doesn't this contradict the statement that pitch count has no bearing on this game? Or, perhaps, the game documentation is misleading and suggested pitch count is really another way of describing pitching endurance (e.g. S8, S7,(3),(2))

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do a pitcher's fatigue level mean?

The pitcher's fatigue level can be from F0 to F9. F9 means that he is operating on all cylinders, whereas F0 indicates that he has nothing left in the tank. Normally pitchers start their appearance as F9 and maintain that level until they approach or exceed their Suggested Pitch Count. The pitcher's performance will drop as his fatigue level drops from F9 to F0.

In the board game and under standard rules for the cdrom game pitch count is just for show. I believe however under super advanced fatigue it is somehow factored in to the determination of the fatigue level (F0...F9). Exactly how nobody knows. It is rather black boxish. So the answer of whether pitch count matters could be yes and no at the same time. The F? rating is what is really important and what you really care about.
