You need to to compare Hershiser's team mate Steve Howe to Doc in order to pass the sniff test.
I never had the pleasure of seeing Gooden pitch but he was absurd. It's a shame '85 isn't really any good and it makes NO sense how '84 is a better card.
Both guys won Cy Youngs guys....Hershiser had an MLB record and Gooden one of the best seasons ever. 100-39 with a 2.64 by the time he was 24......
