Wow, a shock indeed.

I hate it when ballplayers that I watched from the stands pass away, especially when then are younger than I, it makes me feel so old.

My heart goes out to his family and all those who knew and loved him. He was one of the good guys, a class act.

I will always wonder if he could have cracked .400 had the strike never happened. He was truly one of the all time greats.

Only had the pleasure of seeing him in person once, Game 1 of the 98 World Series.

He hit Yankee pitching like a softball player hits slow pitch. RIP, and thanks for the joy that infected your game.

Just heard the news on the Rangers pregame show. He was one of my all time favorite players. Never had any idea he was battling something like this. As far as I ever saw or heard a class person. Thanks for the memories Mr Padre.
