Hey guys,
Before I start I again want to direct those who play the 2013 player set over to the Player's Championship Tournament. You can view the tournament page here for rules and other information. As a quick overview, the tournament runs 5 events, each using the 2013 player set with various rules settings. Users top 4 event scores are then added together with additional bonuses and the top 36 point getters move on to the Semi Finals. All 12 users who reach the playoffs in this league move on to the Championship round for the opportunity to win up to $300 in tickets to your favorite ballpark!! Nothing to lose by giving it a try. The sign-up page can be found here.
Another tournament has also concluded, the Mystery League tournament. Congratulations to both ths92110 and Ducky for a fantastic 7-game championship series that took 12 innings to decide the winner with ths92110 for the tournament win. Prizes for both users have been awarded.
Moving on. Just as an ATG recap, last week I announced some of the new things involved with ATG 8. In case you missed it, on Monday we announced we will no longer add the Japanese and Cuban players to ATG. You can view that announcement here. Some of you have started asking for anticipated release dates, right now we expect to launch in early July.
Last week I mentioned that you will have the opportunity to choose which ballparks are added to ATG 8. We will be adding 10 ballparks total and 8 have already been decided. The remaining two will come down to a vote by you. A poll has been set up with 10 potential additions. Vote for your top 2 to add. The stadiums with the highest vote totals will be used.
The stadium choices are:
1) 1938 Cleveland Stadium SI L 1-5 R 1-12 HR L 1-5 R 1
2) 1961 County Stadium SI L 1 R 1 HR L 1 R 1-8
