Seeking advice for $140M team

First ever $140M team. DH league, Home stadium is Royals '78

For some reason I didn't get a RFer, but I got 2 CFs - '12 Tris Speaker and '93 Griffey Jr. I would hate to drop either without thinking this through. I also have '32 Foxx for 1B, but I could play Griff at 1B (4e16) and put Foxx at 3B (4e22). I dropped '66 Dick Allen prematurely, so I wouldn't need to replace him because Foxx would play there (probably poorly). My Def is pretty bad at the corners already and I have '73 Carew at 2B.

Or I could DH Griffey and drop either '71 Stargell or '49 Kiner (I'd probably drop Stargell) and use the money to get a real RF and 3B.

Change Griffey to '94. Can play right - that's the only one that I use.

Yep, switch Griffey to 94 and stick him in right. The other cards are hardly worth using in a 140 mil league in my opinion.

Foxx, Kiner, Stargell, Boudreau are too slow for Royals

I assume you are playing Foxx at 3B? Carew at 1B? Sax at 2B? You IF defense is a bit leaky.

The pen is too thin.

I would get rid of Stargell and Boudreau, there are better and cheaper options available.

I agree that you are paying for a lot of power hitters that are wasted at Royals. Ralph Kiner is a great fit in a singles park or any park, stick with him and drop one or two of the other guys for more well rounded players with less ballpark HRs.

I have no experience at 140, and I detest DH leagues, but I'll pose some questions;

1) What about 9 million Foxx? Fair speed, mega OBP, no DP's.

2) Is there a faster option available at SS?

3) Can that Bullpen survive at 140m?
