6 Half Teams League - Draft

Was there ever a decision or consensus as to whether or not ATG8 player pool was going to be used?


Saw where the decision was made or voted upon to have the one-round reverse order free agent supplemental draft, but didn't see anything definitive on the ATG8 possibility.

I think that considering that we are in the midst of a draft using ATG7 as our proxy i suggest we stay with atg7

I agree with the Commish - we're drafting based upon known players/values.

If we used ATG 8:

Exp Dodgers pitching gets two huge cards - Sutton and Gagne.

DB White Sox get a huge lefty starter in Reb Russell - Grove caliber.

Mets get Seaver card with top 15 or so starter rank.

Yaz 70 is a minor upgrade over the existing card.

Cash 61 is now a 3 with an upgraded R side and downgraded L, and Kaline's rookie card may well be worth playing in RF (both DET-post).

Mantle 61 and Maris 61 both get downgraded and price reductions. I suspect these were imported FantaSim cards.

Clemente 67 may make PIT-Exp Hitters worth having, but still a marginal RF card.

Bobby Murcer has a nice CF card added to NYY Exp, not sure you'd use him though.

King Kelly added to DB Cubs Hitters - not sure he has any effect as a 3(-2)T-20(pb-20) C, but might be worth using somewhere and has a big OB card.

5-day Guy Hecker (Louisville Colonels)

4-day Lady Baldwin - Hubbell-like lefty starter for DET DB.

Terry Fox - terrific middle reliever for DET-Post.

Martin Dihigo - RF beast

Kevin Brown - ace-caliber Marlins SP

George Stone (BAL-db corner OF)

If we used ATG 8:
