Votto

PostSun Jul 06, 2014 6:12 pm

Has anyone else had Votto and if so how has he performed. Through 24 games:
BA -.217 OB -.280 SLG -.340 OBS -.621 , 3hr

This is in Minute Maid Park....There are (17) LHP in the league....and (7) in my division....is that the problem or just to short a sample set????

He has been mediocre for me in leagues.

I had him in Busch, .364 obp .379 slug in a standard $80M DH league with righty heavy pitching staffs, made 18 errors and of course never got injured. 764 PA's as my leadoff hitter, 96 runs scored. Clearly underwhelming for the salary, but it's only one league. Still that's objectively a decent leadoff hitter.

I have Votto in Chase Field in a "gimmick" league (half teams are R-leaning pitchers and 5 other teams are L-leaning). After 105 games, 471 PA, 15-53-.302, with .439 OBP and .475 SLG.

The splits are pretty extreme: .193 BA vs. LHP, .351 vs. RHP.
