shuffle the ballparks

PostMon Jul 07, 2014 3:50 pm

I was reading on the shuffle the deck feature and noticed where you could limit the number of ballparks.
That led to a thought and some questions.

Could you create a league that had 12 randomly selected parks but had all players in the set? Or would you have to have a randomly selected set of players in order to get the 12 randomly selected parks?

Has anyone done a theme league where 12 parks were selected at random and then every team had to choose one of those parks?

Long time ago we had a few leagues where everyone who signed up for the league here threw a ballpark of their choice into the kitty. When we had 12 owners (and ballparks), the parks were distributed by a random number sequence, and everyone built a team according to the park they drew.

In what turned out to be a rather fun league (ATG 2 I believe), we live drafted a team and another manager got to pick your park.

I could see someone from a different division picking your park after a live draft. I ended up with a Shibe disaster IIRC.

Lowest you can go with the Shuffle mechanism is 30 stadiums. Might be VERY interesting in a 24-team league Shuffle
