I guess he was somehow a switch hitter over his career but for his single season they decided to make him STRICTLY a righty!!! Very Strange Indeed!

Everything I've looked at indicates he batter Right-handed. I guess the Switch-hitting one we have now is incorrect.

The only thing I saw in researching was an apocryphal quote supposedly by Johnny Mize, "Dihigo was the only guy I ever saw who could play all nine positions, manage, run and switch-hit." This sounds more like an ode to the greatness and versatility of Dihigo than actual data that he was a switch-hitter, though he may have tried it form time to time.

POOR....POOR ANDRUW JONES

I applaud the reduction for Cedeno, Lynn and Edmonds (IMO could have all dropped another 25 cents or so)

but the one guy I'm VERY disappointed not getting a SERIOUS reduction is my favorite defensive cfer of the 90's....aka...Andruw Jones.....the dude NEVER gets played with at ANY cap! in 250 ATG leagues at differing caps I believe he has played an entire 162 games season less than 15 of the 250 leagues I've been in!!!

He performs similarly to pudge and impacts a game similarly, yet Pudge is rightly priced at $6.59 (not a bargain, but playable on a winning team)...lowering Andruw to somewhere in the $6.6 to $6.7 range would make him a viable pick to be fought over as some owners fight to get Pudge....however with his current $8.05M salary he isn't playable at any cap, on any team with the hope of winning more than 81 games.

A new release would not be complete unless another Mark McGwire card is added.

Im trying hard to withhold judgement until we see all the new stuff- but so far yes, underwhelming.

Also- am wondering if they did choose the new cards from all of those lists Bill compiled for us- and that many of us spent a great deal of time voting on. One would certainly hope so, but I take little for granted here.

According to Baseball Reference he was a switch hitter!!

To many teams, not enough time! Must be an addiction!!
