It seems odd that some customers are able to view new cards/prices and others are not. It does not seem odd to change some prices around to reflect supply and demand as well as past pricing errors. Some players were clearly under priced, Higbe and some were clearly over priced, Speaker and Cedano.

I do understand why veterans would want to keep the advantage of knowing the bargains from the over priced guys. But it also does not help SOM's bottom line if the same people win all the time and beginners are left to lose 100 games and never come back.

I am discouraged that SOM said ATG8 could be out last week and now it is this week and it is still not out. But it is also a bummer to see so much SOM bashing. Trust me when I say, SOM is a small company and we are lucky they have lasted this long. And I think it is safe to say that if they did go out of business many of us would be seriously bumming. There is really nothing to compare to the quality of the SOM game.

Thanks for the reply nev. Lots to digest there. Definitely agree that the R1 relievers should not go up. They should go down in price.

To view new prices and new cards.

1.Go to the ATG 7 player set browser.
2.Pull up an individuals card.
3.At the end of the url you will see the number 271.
4.Change the 271 to 281 and hit enter
5.I have to copy and paste the url to a new window to get it to allow me to edit the url
6.You will then see the updated prices and cards of that individual player
7.Some prices are unchanged but some players have new cards or new superadvanced cards that have replaced old ones.

Once again I will point out that Nev was looking at the prices from ATG 3 and not ATG 8. If you look at the link he posted you will see that.

I could do that on my phone but have been unable to get it to work on the computer at work....nevermind......probably need to do the same cut and paste.

Roosky, thank you...again happy to be wrong in some ways here...I'll not edit my post again because I think some valid points still exist...but I hope to be more incorrect moving forward.

I'm just pulling up the individual player cards in Firefox, copying the URL into a new window and editing the 271 to 281. Some times you need to adjust the /1/ before the 271 to 2 or 3, depending on what they did with the card for this set.

New Billy Hamilton card.

Nev, read your post and agree completely on the types of teams built according to salary cap.
When I first started playing ATG2, I was strictly a 80 mill cap guy that would try to out homer you. I had a reasonable amount of success.
Now when I play 80 mill I try to single my opposition to death. I have had more success.
A pricing change is certainly much needed. My teams lately have strayed from what I know is successful for the simple reason I am bored playing the same guys. I recently played the 2L Sandberg, not because he is a good deal, but for the sole reason he was a player I grew up watching.
Hopefully ATG8 will bring my enthusiasm back to the game.

With all the "new price" comments made, including the lack of much needed change to 1 IP relievers not being lowered, I find it interesting that one of the most steadiest and consistent performers (John Beckwith) gets a price REDUCTION!!! He goes from 9.90 down to 9.81.....since I love Beckwith, this is great news but I did expect him to be among the 10+ players!

To many teams, not enough time! Must be an addiction!!
