Double Gagne

Many have probably already noticed there are 2 distinct Gagne cards. In the spreadsheet they both have unique IDs which makes them appear as 2 separate players who just happen to have the same name.

This means they can be draft twice in live drafts and could get assigned to 2 teams in autodrafts.
I have emailed online support and notified them. Be interesting to see how they resolve this. I am sure in those instances where 2 teams got him both will want to keep him.

Just thought I would warn everyone so you can discuss in any live drafts and take appropriate precautions.

If I have time tomorrow I will pull the spreadsheet in to Access and run a query to see if there are any other such snafus and email Strato if I find any. But not sure if I will because we have 40% of our staff off tomorrow so could be buried with work.

This is exactly what happened in our live draft last night. We paused and rewound the draft a couple of times when guys tried drafting Gagne the second. It carried over into the frenzy, with guys continuing to pick him up. That "cheap" Gagne card was very enticing. In an email that SOM sent to me this morning, they say that the problem was that the two cards had separate IDs, but that they have now combined them. Problem fixed.

Otherwise the draft went fine, beyond the usual weaseling of each others' picks.

I just noticed that scorehouse and I both have him in our $140m league. Be interesting to see how that's resolved.

Scorehouse was the guy who originally picked the expensive Gagne in the live draft last night, and is the guy who got to keep him. Some kind of Gagne-love there I wonder?

I got no response from my email to them. I wonder for existing leagues where 2 people have him if they will do anything or just allow 2 people to have him. I suppose I am ok with that since nobody in autodrafts were knowingly taking advantage or anything.

But this does illustrate one of my primary complaints that little or no beta testing is happening. Hard for me to believe they ran very many beta test autodrafts with a card that good not being selected by multiple people a few times.

Scorehouse was also involved in the double Gagne thing last night in Roosky's 80m league! This is the pop-up we all had today when opening the league:

Due to a temporary mismatch of player IDs, Eric Gagne's 2002 and 2003 cards were drafted and as of now are currently owned by two different teams in this league. We've since fixed the player IDs so that this doesn't happen in future leagues, but we'd like to help resolve the situation in your league if needed. Note that technically, your season can proceed as is, and Eric Gagne would be considered as two separate players with no other repercussions. However, if you find that to be unacceptable, one of the two owners would have to volunteer to drop his Gagne card, or you would otherwise have to come to an agreement on your own. If you're able to make that decision, please let us know so that we can prevent the dropped card from being picked up again.
