Collins should be better than Alomar, who often struggles at high caps.

my reluctance with collins is almost all his outs are double plays which is hard to believe for a speed guy?

Use the 7.30 Collins and get a good backup 2nd baseman, around 2 million.

Personally find hes a bit pricey for a 140 league depending on the park choices around you; the suggestion for the lower card might make some sense. Or another cheaper card, again depending on the rest of your team/surroundings.

just my opinion but,
IF one were to use him, the best spot in your line up might be front or rear.
Kind of like the bull and the marching band

Two reasons a speed guy might hit in to a lot of double plays.
1 - If it is a chevy card hitters get hit with more gb(A) because no pitchers in a chevy seasons get a gb(A).
2 - Could be he really did hit in to a lot of double plays which will be reflected even in a cadillac season. I know logic says he gets down the line to first quick so less time to turn the double play. But at the same time many speed guys are also ground ball guys who depend on their speed for hits. Good chance for a hit if those ground balls are not hit right at someone. But when they are it is a tailor made double play even if the guy can run. The effect is magnified if he hits hard ground balls.

If you are playing Hilltop - would anyone consider playing Tubby Scales or Jeff Kent despite their problems in the field? Both are cheaper than Alomar or Collins and add some power.
