Most exciting new cards

This is fixable. Even if they just added 5 hitters and 2 pitchers per month until ATG 9 comes out, that would help keep the game fresh and leagues forming. It would take so little on their part and would surely be in their best interest economically.

You mention a potential ATG9, what, in your opinion, should be the approach to a release of ATG9? Totally start from scratch with a 100% new set or keep building on this existing 4000+ player set?

I am also pleased to see new cards for a lot of the Negro League players like Cristobal Torriente.

You would think adding some new cards on a regular basis would be a no brainer.

I was thrilled to get the 1972 Don Sutton , my all time favorite card. But it seems to be very overpriced. Looking at it , doesn't really compare to any of the other over $10 mil pitchers. Of course, when I played the card there were no ballpark effects yet, and Dodger stadium has always been a pitchers park. Still, hard to justify 10.30 for that card

A little more backstory. I was in an 8 team keeper league back then, and had both Sutton and Carlton. Led by those 2 pitchers my 1972 team won an amazing 125 games (still an all time record for me in any format)

Thanks Richard. My 2nd high in wins was 120. It was also 1972 in a retro league several years ago. We started with the 1961 season, and I made all my moves gearing up towards 1972. Sutton put up this line (16 team league)

Wow! Those are some amazing stats from your pitching staff. I can see why Don Sutton is your favorite player. Is he supposed to be a nice guy? Dodger Blue! Were you old enough to see Sandy Koufax pitch?

I did see Sandy pitch, I was pretty young all I knew is that he was good. I didn't realize how good until several years later.
Sutton was very well spoken, and often controversial. I was young and fairly controversial myself so I guess I identified. I also liked the way he pitched "backward" , often fooling batters with his curve (or illegal variation of the curve). He was my first exposure to what I like to call a "thinking man's" pitcher.

must be a Sutton day, the 75 card just put me in the finals tonight in this $100 league with a game 6 no hitter!
