I have no doubt that Duffy is the better card, but in a pitchers park, Kiner with his over 15 "pure" HR's each way will hit at least 50 HRs which don't come easy in that BP. Somebody has to knock in all the other on base and speed guys

Steve F. That's why I can't make up my mind! Doh! I noticed most of the other teams using singles' or pitchers' parks do not have a lot of HR hitters. I have won with Kiner in the past but I have also done well with no big HR hitters in a singles' park. I really don't know what to do. But I will make up my mind soon and drop the other player so someone else can have a shot at him. I tried to trade Kiner out of my division.

I haven't done well in pitchers park historically, but I do like 1 or 2 guys with "straight" HR chances. That 86 league we played in, Canseco was cheap and had low On base, but his HR's were valuable. One thing I do like is guys with lots of doubles and triples.

No doubt doubles and triples are huge in pitchers' parks or singles' parks.

I like the Kiner card for your team. Just a LOT of natural home runs. and will get even more in the few hitter's parks around the league. I also agree with earlier poster to change to the '94 Gwynn.

Thanks For The Help...with... Kiner or Duffy

Our season starts today. I went with Hugh Duffy over Ralph Kiner and Bill Robinson over Lou Pinella, and Sim Jones is my ace.

I will be ecstatic to compete for a playoff spot and win the wild card. .... Do I have enough pitching..??

Thanks for all those who helped me get back into ATG!!! Sorry, if I did not take your advice, I still value your opinion :D !!! I went with Hugh Duffy over Ralph Kiner because of all the singles and pitchers' parks. And because while I have used Kiner's card once before, I have never used the expensive Hugh Duffy card.

Here is my final roster...... I think!... I did think of going with the 1994 Gwynn and a whole bunch of your other suggestions and many of my own. I learned there are endless combinations with this large set of ATG8. Thanks SOM! :D

Good luck. I have no idea whether it will be good or not. I've used Duffy twice, he had a monster year one time and an average one the other. If there are a lot of lefties he should kick a$$.
