Add your thoughts on the OCHO please...

There are more options for league play than ever before so even if the number of customers was the same it would take longer for leagues to fill. I could be waiting a while for my post WWII, 100 million, DH, no waivers, 5-10-20% drop league to fill. But to me it is worth it because I really do not like playing with cards from the 1800s and I really hate waiting two days for waivers. I am also not a fan of non DH leagues.

I am a fan of the new ATG8. I think SOM did a good job. I don't know what some of the complainers were expecting?

If people think I am a jerk for not jumping on the complainer bandwagon you can put me in my place by joining the above league and trying to beat me. I consider myself as good a manager as anyone with the league options I have set up. Who wants a shot at the title, "Best Post WW2, DH, 100 Million Dollar League GM in ATG8"?

I joined. It is a bit discouraging though to see how slow this league is filling. I think it might be fun to play with only the "modern" players!

Thanks Steve, if it does not start filling we may have to jump ship to another league. I think a lot more GMs would like the Frenzy option if they actually gave it some thought. What is the point of waiting two days without being able to do anything? Especially with ATG8 when there are so many cards to choose from you can always get good players if you miss some during the auto draft.

Oh, my bad, well I can live with that.... I do prefer Frenzies because I guess I am impatient and I don't understand why the rosters have to be frozen (except for trades that rarely happen) for two days.

They freeze the roster to give everyone an equal chance. It takes some people a day or so before they know the league filled and the auto draft happened. Also, some people have to wait until they get home from work to evaluate their team. Then it gives you some time to fix your team with trades before you have to resort to the scraps, at higher caps, left in free agency. Plus 11pm is too late for me to do a frenzy on week nights.
