Which Hornsby ...

PostThu Jul 24, 2014 5:28 pm

Fenway '67.

Which Hornsby to pick in ATG 8?

I'm leaning toward '29 over '22. Is that crazy and way off base?

i used to prefer the 24 version but with the new pricing i like the 29. still get great hitting plus his best fielding car for a 1.5 mil savings. lot of money to upgrade an sp or especially an rp

For me it would depend upon platoon considerations. '22 is an E. '29 is 5R. If you're expecting to face a lot of RH pitching and are otherwise weak against RHP (which might be true if you're in a righty park with mostly RHB) then I would go with the '29. But if you're expecting a balance of LH & RH, or otherwise have RHP covered, then might favor '22.

The difference in fielding is only 3 errors, so that wouldn't be a decider for me.

Outta Leftfield:

I see your point, but actually I was wondering if the 11.53 mil (1924 Card which is 1L) was a better choice than the '22 13.39 mil E card. There is a 1.8 mil price difference but I don't see it as worth the difference in Fenway.

Am I off base here?

Thanks.

Oh, OK. Your initial question actually referred to 22 & 29, though scorehouse seems to have figured out what you meant right off the bat.

Money not an issue, so I figure I might as well go with the higher card. It is in 200 mil Barnstormers. The backups are so good I can downgrade and get the higher priced card. Might as well, I guess. No need to scrimp.
