My guess is the chances of filling another 24-team Event 2 league are pretty slim, given that there are only 9 Event 1 leagues. You might try to send a private message to the commissioner, gbrookes. It does say here that the deadline for entry is Aug. 20: http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/to ... #left_info. So you are beating the deadline. Maybe he'd make a ruling such that people in your position who were in Event 1, but didn't make one of the four Event 2 leagues can form a 12-team $60 league instead - or maybe just join Event 3 or Event 4 twice. I would think, though, there would have to be some additional restriction regarding playoff bonus points, since only 4 teams in the 24-team leagues will get them. Maybe you would have to finish with one of the two best records in a 12-team league in order to qualify for the bonus points. I would imagine gbrookes would give it some thought and come up with something fair.

This happens every event- there aren't a round number of entrants to fill the final league. after the deadline others can join as fillers. Since this event deadline is the de facto deadline for the tournament, there may be players who want to join despite not having entered event 1. based on the rules they have until 8/20 to join. A special rule or exception is not needed, just another league...GBrookes?????
